Specialist secondary care lipid and endocrine opinions for patients referred by private GPs, cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.
This referral service is for private GPs, cardiologists and other healthcare professionals seeking a specialist secondary care opinion for an adult patient with a complex lipid or endocrine disorder.
Referrals can be submitted using the form below. Please ensure the patient has been informed of the referral and upload a referral letter including the relevant clinical history, current medication, recent investigations and blood results, reason for referral and any specific clinical question.
Alternatively, referral letters can be emailed securely to info@thelipidclinic.co.uk.
Once reviewed, the patient will be contacted by The Lipid Clinic to arrange an appropriate consultation. A specialist assessment will be undertaken and a clinical summary with recommendations will be sent to the referring clinician, subject to patient consent.
Please include the patient’s full name, date of birth, contact details and GP details.
This service is for planned outpatient assessment and is not suitable for urgent or emergency medical care.
